WalletHub compared 100 of the most populated U.S. metro areas across three key measurements

  • Obesity & Overweight
  • Health Consequences
  • Food & Fitness

They evaluated those measurements using 19 relevant metrics. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the “fattest.”

They then determined each metro area’s weighted average across all metrics to calculate its overall score and used the resulting scores to rank-order the sample.

These Two Michigan Cities Are Among The Most Obese In America

 

Nobody wants to see their city on the list of most obese in America, but two cities in Michigan have landed on that unfortunate list.

Coming in at number 33 on the list and the most obese city in Michigan is Detroit.
