Spirit Christmas to Open in Grand Rapids This November

Lovers of spooky season (aka Halloween) await the arrival of Spirit Halloween stores in their towns every single year. The stores tend to pop up in locations that have been vacated by other stores recently, and carry everything from costumes to decorations to makeup, and more!

Well, this year, once all of the little goblins and ghouls have wrapped up their trick-or-treating, one of those Spirit Halloween stores is transforming into something aimed at bringing a different kind of holiday cheer.

Spirit Christmas to Open in Grand Rapids

There will only be two Spirit Christmas locations in Michigan. One will be located in Novi and the other will be in Grand Rapids.

The Grand Rapids Spirit Christmas will be located in the former Jo Ann Fabrics store at the Shops at Centerpoint.

An exact date for the opening of the Grand Rapids store has not been announced. Spirit Christmas' website simply states it is "Opening in November".

What to Expect at Grand Rapids' Spirit Christmas Store

What's in store for you at Spirit Christmas? Well, if you've ever been inside a Spirit Halloween, think of that, but Christmas. You'll find decorations, gifts, wrapping supplies, apparel, and a lot more.

If you bring the kids (or just want a bit of whimsy for yourself,) they can write letters to Santa in the store, see amazing Christmas animatronics, or wander down what the store calls "Peppermint Lane".

Will Santa Be at the Spirit Christmas in Grand Rapids?

Select Spirit Christmas locations around the country will have opportunities to have your picture taken with Santa. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that either Michigan store will have Santa on site in 2025.
