The Jonas Brothers are no strangers to surprise guests on their latest tour, but last night (Thursday, Aug. 28) at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, they pulled off one of their best yet.

Midway through their set, the pop icons brought out country star Russell Dickerson to join them on stage: and the crowd completely lost it.

Dickerson lit up the arena with his number-one hit “Happen To Me,” and the thousands of fans inside sang along like they’d been waiting for this collab their whole lives.

The song, which nods to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” fit right into the party atmosphere the Jonas Brothers had already set.

And just when it couldn’t get any better, Russell taught the JoBros his signature dance, and they posted it on social media making the internet outside of Detroit explode in jealousy.

I mean come on, it’s just a bunch of boys who are in trouble now. How can you not love it? More over, we all wish we could have been a part of it!

As to why they’d pick a Country superstar to bring on stage: Maybe the Jonas Brothers were taking notes from their guest, too.

Their newest single “No Time To Talk” interpolates the Bee Gees’ disco classic “Stayin’ Alive,” just like Dickerson gave a playful nod to Cyndi Lauper in his song. It’s safe to say that both acts know a thing or two about making old favorites feel brand new.

Detroit fans may have shown up for the Jonas Brothers, but by the end of the night, they got a bonus memory that’s sure to stay alive for a long, long time.
