According to his bio on the FOX-17 website, Reece has been interested in weather since he was at least seven years old, growing up in West Michigan, and saw a show about tornadoes. After that, he constantly watched videos about the weather and live weather radar, which prompted his grandparents to call him "Radar Reece".

In a way, Reece Cole isn't going anywhere. It appears that Cole will remain in West Michigan; however, he's stepping away from the television news world. In a post on Facebook, he said,

As I end my time forecasting the weather, I’ll be forecasting the markets in Financial Planning. Best of all, no more leaving work at 1a or waking up at 2a!

We'll miss Reece on our TV screens, but can't wait to see what he does next!
