The biggest Country concert in American history could be happening later this year in Michigan’s biggest stadium.

Michigan Stadium, or as we more lovingly know it as: The Big House, is making history this year by hosting its first-ever concert. After nearly a century of football games, graduations, and other sporting events, the stadium will transform into a massive music venue later this year, and it may break a record in the process.

Country star Zach Bryan will headline the event, and he'll be bringing along another legend John Mayer. Ryan Bingham & The Texas Gentlemen, and Joshua Slone will also be a part of the lineup for this once-in-a-lifetime evening on September 27th, 2025.

While The Big House has hosted events beyond football—such as the 2014 Winter Classic, which set an NHL attendance record—it has never been used for a concert. This marks a significant moment for both the venue and Michigan’s live music scene. With a seating capacity of 107,601, The Big House is the largest stadium in the country and third-largest in the world, making this one of the biggest concert events the state has ever seen.

The largest concert in US history only happened last year when country singer George Straight headlined Texas A&M's Kyle Stadium for 110,905 people. The capacity on game day for Kyle Stadium is 102,733 (which is 5k short of what the Big House holds), meaning if they lay the stage out the right way, this could be the biggest concert in US history.

If you want to be a part of this moment in concert and Michigan history- tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday. Given the scale of the event and the fact it might be a record a high demand is expected.

Whether this paves the way for more concerts at Michigan Stadium in the future remains to be seen, but for now, it’s set to be a landmark event in Michigan entertainment history.
