Summer Plans? Michigan’s Adventure and Cedar Point Announce 2026 Start Dates
Michigan’s Adventure fans just got the news they’ve been waiting for. The park finally dropped its 2026 opening date and it feels like the unofficial reminder that yes summer will eventually return.
According to a post on social media, the gates for Michigan Adventure in Muskegon will swing back open on May 22nd, 2026 which means we can all start counting down the days until the coasters are running, the water park is full and families are back to making the most of those short Michigan summers.
On top of that, we found out this week that their sister park (and the one with the biggest roller coasters in the region) Cedar Point, will be first out of the gate next year with an opening day of May 9th. They also plan to run daily all the way through Labor Day on September 7th. So if you’re itching to get back on Top Thrill 2, or want to try out the brand new Siren’s Curse, you’ve got your date.
If you’re planning on hitting up Michigan’s Adventure, they’re offering the 2026 Gold Pass (Their standard tier membership pass) for only twenty three dollars a month after the initial payment, and it covers everything you need for the season including parking.
If you want to stick close to Muskegon that’s the easy choice. But if you’re the kind of person who sees a summer weekend as an excuse to road trip your way through every coaster in the Midwest, the Prestige Pass might be the better deal. It costs a little more per month but it gets you into more than forty parks including Cedar Point plus perks like Bring A Friend tickets and Single Use Fast Lanes.
Either way opening day is officially on the calendar and now the only thing left to do is wait for the snow to melt.
