Michigan Man Playing The Lottery Turns $20 Into $2 Million

I've never won a life-changing amount of money, but I've had a few times scratch off games where I won $40 and $50 and that gave me some extra pep in my step.

One Michigan man recently played an instant game from the Michigan Lottery and was able to turn his $20 ticket into a $2 Million payday.

The man who chose to remain anonymous bought the winning ticket at Fleck’s Fresh Mart in Canton.

He shared with the Michigan Lottery what went through his head when he scratched the ticket.

“I was scratching off one of the tickets and when I saw I matched number 11 with ‘$2MIL’ underneath, I kept asking myself: ‘What does this mean?’ because I didn’t believe I really won $2 million at first, When my mom looked the ticket over and told me it was a $2 million winner, I was so excited I didn’t know what to do with myself! turning $20 into $2 million is unbelievable and still doesn’t feel real. I don’t think it’s going to fully sink in until I cash the check.

The man recently claimed his prize at the Michigan Lottery headquarters and decided to get a one-time lump sum payment which was around $1.3 million.
