It’s National Cereal Day: What is Michigan’s Favorite Cereal?
Today, Tuesday March 7th is National Cereal Day. I'm shocked that the epicenter of this holiday isn't Michigan's own Cereal City: Battle Creek. While, being the home of Kellogg's, Michigan's Cereal city isn't the only one that loves the sweet sugary breakfast food.
In my humble opinion, there are no bad cereals. They're the one universal thing that everyone seems to like in some form when it comes to breakfast foods. In fact, Americans eat roughly 2.7 billion boxes of cereal every year.
They're all good, even if you're part of the 11 percent of Americans who eat it the wrong way by pouring your milk into the bowl before pouring your cereal.
(I'd say I'm not here to judge you, but I'm harshly judging you.)
But the experts at zippia did the math to find out what cereal is each state's favorite, and Michigan has popular taste.
What is Michigan's favorite cereal?
Michigan is in good company when it comes to what our favorite cereal is... unless you're an Ohio hater, like me. Because our favorite cereal is the most popular one in America
Michigan's favorite cereal is...
Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
I don't know why we hate ourselves so much since we all know that familiar pain of those tiny squares cutting the top of your mouth to shreds. But, the pain is worth the sugary goodness for all of us.
Michigan is one of 13 states that says that Cinnamon Toast Crunch is their favorite, including our neighbors to the south, Ohio and Indiana.
The weirdest stat from all of this? Not one state picked my favorite, Lucky Charms. I demand a recount.
