It’s hard to believe, but spooky season also means drive-in season is coming to an end in West Michigan. Muskegon’s beloved Getty Drive-In is closing out its 82nd season this weekend with one last celebration, and they’re going out with a boo!

The Getty’s annual “Flick or Treat” event is back for Halloween weekend, giving families the perfect excuse to load up the car, dress in costume, and get a little sugar rush before the show.

Kids can trunk or treat both Friday and Saturday night, with prizes for the best costumes and best-decorated cars. It’s one of those classic small-town events that perfectly mixes nostalgia, community, and a good dose of candy corn.

After the treats, families can settle in under the stars to watch “K Pop Demon Hunters”, the hottest Netflix movie of the year. Your kids have been singing it relentlessly (and may have the costumes to match) so why not celebrate halloween weekend by seeing it on the big screen?

They’ll also be showing tons of great other movies, including Black Phone which will be perfect for halloween horror fans.

Tickets are just $6 per person, and the gates open at 4:30 p.m. both nights. You can grab tickets online at CelebrationCinema.com or at the gate.

It’s the perfect way to say goodbye to the drive-in season and hello to a new Halloween tradition. So grab your costumes, pack a blanket, and get ready for one last cozy night of family fun at the Getty.
