West Michigan Gets a Brand-New Holiday Festival This December
West Michigan’s most famous festival isn’t stopping at tulips anymore. Tulip Time is adding something brand-new to the calendar this year, and it’s designed to help carry us through the long winter months with a little extra joy.
The first-ever Dutch Winterfest is set for December 2nd through 6th, bringing festive traditions and plenty of family fun to downtown Holland.
The event draws inspiration from Dutch wintertime customs, and organizers are planning a packed four-day schedule to keep spirits bright.
Visitors can expect the Parade of Lights to sparkle through the streets, Delft Downtown to showcase Dutch artistry, and the playful Sinterklaas Shuffle to spread holiday cheer.
Families will especially love the passport adventure, where kids can collect stamps at five different locations throughout the festival.
Along the way, they’ll meet larger-than-life characters like polar bears and gingerbread people, enjoy sweet treats at each stop, and end their journey with a photo alongside Sinterklaas himself.
Dutch Winterfest is shaping up to be a brand-new tradition in the making for families all across Holland and West Michigan. With a mix of lights, culture, and hands-on fun, it’s the perfect excuse to bundle up, head downtown, and celebrate the season together.
