A Michigan man who recently went to buy his usual lottery ticket was told that it wasn't available.

What happened next would change his life and answer a prayer.
The Michigan man, who has chosen to remain anonymous walked into the Speedway gas station in Caro, and asked the cashier to play Triple Red 777.
The cashier checked and it turned out that those tickets were sold out, so the man decided to play a new game and it ended up winning him $500,000.

Michigan Man Wins $500,000 Playing Detroit Tigers Instant Game
After not being able to buy his usual tickets the man tried out the new $5 Detroit Tigers Instant Game and couldn't believe his eyes when he scratched it and saw that he had won $500,000.
The man who was in disbelief signed the back of his ticket and went inside the gas station to have the clerk scan the ticket.
When it was scanned a note came up saying that the winning ticket had to be redeemed at the Michigan Lottery Headquarters in Lansing.
The man recently went there and collected his winnings.
He told the Michigan Lottery that he plans to use the money to help out his family and invest the rest.

The Michigan Lottery said each $5 Detroit Tigers instant ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $500,000.
And that more than $19 million in prizes remains in the game, including two $500,000 top prizes and six $2,000 prizes.
