Detroit Lions Longest-Tenured Player Signs 3 Year Contract Extension
I don't know about you but I am so excited for the Detroit Lions to get this season started and build on the record breaking season that took the Lions to the NFC Championship game for the first time since 1992.
Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker was an important part of last seasons team and will be sticking around after it was announced that the Lions and Decker have come to terms on a contract extension.

On Sunday the Detroit Lions and Taylor Decker agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $60 million.
The deal includes $31.83 million in guaranteed money and keeps Decker with the team through the 2027 season.
Decker was entering the final year of his previous contract, which was set to pay him $13.7 million for the 2024 season.
As the longest-tenured player on the Lions' roster, Decker has been a major part of the offensive line since being drafted 16th overall in 2016 from Ohio State.
His 112 starts are the most by any Lions player, surpassing the next closest by 32 starts.
The Detroit Lions shared video of his teammates finding out the good news.
This extension follows the Lions' recent trend of securing their offensive line, coming just months after right tackle Penei Sewell signed a four-year, $112 million extension in April.
Taylor Decker and the Detroit Lions kick off the 2024 preseason on Aug. 8 with a game against the New York Giants.
