Winter Is Not Done With Us Yet – Winter Storm Warning, Advisory Issued
We might be done with winter, but it's not done with us...
The National Weather Service has issued multiple warnings and advisories for lower Michigan through the evening of Saturday, March 25.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect in the counties of Mason, Lake, and Oceana through 8p.m. Heavy snow is expected, mixed with freezing rain. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches are possible, with ice accumulations of a tenth of an inch or less, and wind gusts as high as 45 mph.
In the counties of Muskegon, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, and Montcalm, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 8p.m. Sleet is expected, with accumulations of 1 to 5 inches. Wind gusts as high as 40 mph.
A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for the counties of Kent, Ionia, Allegan, Barry, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, and Calhoun. Freezing rain and snow is possible. A wintry mix is anticipated north of I-96 up through U.S. 10.
Scattered power outages are possible throughout Michigan's Lower Peninsula.
