This Horse Is For You- Budweiser Clydesdales Coming to West MI
The legendary Budweiser Clydesdale horses will visit West Michigan this weekend. Find out where and when here.
Budweiser Clydesdale Horses
The Budweiser Clydesdales have been the most iconic horses on the planet for nearly a century.
What started as a gift of 6 Clydesdale horses from August A. Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch III to surprise their dad, August A. Busch to mark the end of the prohibition of beer in April 1933, has turned into around 250 horses in various locations in the United States.
Now 8 Clydesdales pull the iconic Budweiser wagon and have been a part of the promotional machine for the King of Beers for 91 years. The Budweiser Clydesdales make hundreds of appearances yearly and have been a Super Bowl tradition in TV commercials since 1986.
The Budweiser Clydesdales live better than some humans with several handlers that help with their diet, grooming, and trainers. They travel in three custom 50-foot tractor-trailers that are climate-controlled with special suspension for a more comfortable ride. The hitch drivers are highly trained and have the Budweiser mascot Dalmatian ride alongside them when pulling the the famous wagon.
