A few years ago, it looked like Grand Rapids was getting its first Texas de Brazil—and then it didn’t.

The Brazilian steakhouse was originally set to open in downtown Grand Rapids at 111 Lyon Street NW as part of the Fifth Third Center redevelopment.

All-You-Can-Eat Steakhouse + Salad Bar Coming to Grand Rapids

For anyone unfamiliar, Texas de Brazil is a Brazilian-American steakhouse known for endless grilled meats carved tableside, a 50-item salad area, and a robust wine list. But when 2020 hit, plans fell through. According to reports at the time, Texas de Brazil couldn’t move forward with the buildout due to the pandemic. Eventually, Real Seafood Co. took over the space.

When Does Texas De Brazil Open in Grand Rapids?

Now, after all the starts and stops, it looks like it’s finally happening!

Texas de Brazil announced on its website that a Grand Rapids restaurant is coming to Woodland Mall. The address listed is 3195 28th Street SE, unit R103.

The grand opening is Friday, Sept. 19. 

It's the third Michigan location, with restaurants already in Detroit and Ann Arbor.

What's on the Menu at Texas de Brazil?

Texas de Brazil is all you can eat—servers continuously bring meats like Filet Mignon, Barbecue Pork Ribs, Brazilian Sausage, Parmesan Crusted Pork Loin, Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon, and Picanha to carve at the the table.

That salad bar? Whoa. It features Smoked Salmon, Salami, Artichoke Hearts, Peppers, Asparagus, Romaine, Spring Mix, Stuffed Green Olives, Cucumber Salad, Couscous, Onion Ceviche, multiple lettuce and salad options, and more.

The desserts look super decadent as well, with a variety of cakes, pies, and Brazilian Cheesecake.

Texas de Brazil Prices and Hours

It'll run you $56.99 for dinner and $33.99 for the salad area only. For kids, if you buy a full price adult meal, children two and under are complimentary. Kids 3-5 are $5.00 and kids 6-12 are half price. Cost does not include beverages, featured items, a la carte items, or desserts.

Hours for Texas de Brazil at Woodland Mall are Monday through Thursday 5p.m. to 9:30p.m, Friday 5p.m. to 10p.m., Saturday 2p.m. to 10p.m., Sunday 2p.m. to 8:30p.m.
