Love Spiderman? Watch It Live In Concert In Detroit
Until I was nearly a junior in high school, the only music I would listen to was video game soundtracks. My Apple library consisted of Assassin's Creed albums and the only album I had that had words was that U2 album that was forced onto everyone's account. That has changed since then, but one movie that came out last year had me right back where I started, listening to a soundtrack on repeat.
One of last year's standout films "Spiderman: Across The Spiderverse" is getting the live orchestra treatment. If you love the film, now you can watch it at the same time that Detroit's Broadway orchestra will perform the entire soundtrack live.
Spiderverse Live
For one night only on Saturday, September 14, 2024, Spider-man: Across the Spider-Verse Live in Concert will take place at the Fisher Theatre. The film will play on a "colossal HD screen" with musicians, percussionists, electronic instrumentalists, and a DJ on turntables. Tickets are available now but are going fast.
One of the reasons "Spiderman: Across The Spiderverse" is as beloved as it is largely due to the uniqueness of the movie, from the art style to the soundtrack. Daniel Pemberton, the composer of the soundtrack, had this to say when announcing the concert series.
because the Spider-Verse films look like nothing else people had seen before, it allowed me to try and make something that didn’t sound like anything people had heard before.
I've been to a "Back To The Future" concert symphony before and it was a blast. If you haven't been to one before, it's a fun environment and worth the experience.
