The photo above represents what many small towns look like in Michigan. I grew up in the village of Holly located south of Flint and north of Detroit, but there are towns all over the state that are much smaller.

Michigan also has its share of funny names for towns like Hell, Colon, Felch, Climax, Jugville, Dick, Bangor, Beaver, and Tittabawassee but thanks to the internet you've probably heard of all those. Let's see how many Michigan small towns you recognize from Michiganders posting on Reddit.

Right out of the gate one that stumped me was Pompeii. I've never been there or even seen a road sign for it. I do know where Millington is because I used to date a girl who lived there and there is a big buffalo farm there I used to stop by and make the bulls mad on the way to her house. I recognized Wooden Shoe as a bar and didn't know it was actually a town near Gladwin. I used to play in a band that played at the Wooden Shoe in Gladwin is how I know. Fun place.
