New Liberian Restaurant Brings Bold West African Flavors To Grand Rapids
Grand Rapids’ food scene continues to evolve with the opening of a new Liberian restaurant bringing the rich, vibrant flavors of West Africa to Kentwood.

The eatery, Princess African Cuisine, celebrated its grand opening on August 22 and is located at 1710 44th St. SE. Owner Princess Konneh, originally from Liberia, has been sharing her culinary heritage in West Michigan for years—through her blog, catering events, and teaching cooking classes that explore the history and cultural significance of African food. Now, she’s bringing that same passion to her first brick-and-mortar restaurant.
