Prime Casual Steakhouse Opens in Comstock Park

Steak lovers, this one’s for you—there’s a tasty new spot to check out in the Grand Rapids area!

A joint promising top-quality steaks at great prices in a warm, inviting atmosphere has come to Comstock Park.

New Steakhouse Opens in Comstock Park

Currently in its soft-opening phase, Prime Casual Steakhouse is located at 3874 West River Dr. Suite B. It's right next door to Mill Creek Tavern and owned by the same folks.

Owner Scott Ingersoll teased the concept on Facebook back in February, saying,

After four years of renting out the 'Flamingo Room', we have decided to better utilize the space by transforming it into Grand Rapids' newest affordable, casual steakhouse...I want to bring my experience from Louis Benton Steakhouse and Judson's to Prime Casual, creating a more relaxed environment and more affordable menu while keeping the same high standards.

What's on the Menu at Prime Casual Steakhouse?

At Prime Casual Steakhouse, start with appetizers like shrimp cocktail, fried asparagus, bruschetta, and pork shank lollipops. Salads include Caesar, wedge, strawberry spinach, and goat cheese and beet.

Now, onto the main course! The new restaurant offers up eight kinds of steaks, including prime sirloin, Wagyu flat iron, filet, and a 36 oz. Tomahawk ribeye.

Not in the mood for steak? They've also got king crab, Chilean salmon, and half a roasted chicken. Entrées range in price from $26 to $99.

If you're into sides like I am, Prime Casual Steakhouse has a ton! Choose from baby portabella mushrooms, sweet potato mash, white cheddar mac and cheese, roasted Brussels sprouts, potatoes au gratin, white cheddar mac and cheese, and more. While a drink menu hasn't been posted, you'll find a selection of craft beers, whiskey, and wine.

Prime Casual Steakhouse Grand Opening

The new eatery's soft opening phase runs through Saturday, August 30. You're asked to call 616-213-4842 for reservations. According to the restaurant's Facebook page, Prime Casual Steakhouse will hold its grand opening in September.
