Last Thursday night, a Norton Shores police officer spotted what might be the tiniest “vehicle” ever impounded: a Power Wheels car abandoned on Seaway Drive. The miniature ride appeared to have tumbled off a truck or trailer before winding up illegally parked on the roadside.

Unfortunately, this pint-sized motorist wasn’t following the rules of the road. The toy lacked license plates, registration, and insurance—not to mention a licensed driver. So, in the name of public safety (and good humor), officers decided to tow it in for safekeeping.

The department’s Facebook post announcing the discovery has sparked plenty of laughs online. “If your young driver suddenly finds themselves grounded without their wheels,” police wrote, “give us a call and describe the vehicle so we can get it back to its rightful owner.”

They even joked about the impound fees: “Juice boxes and goldfish crackers will be accepted.”

The department didn’t provide a full description or a real photo, sharing an AI image that commenters had fun with—but if a toy this size went missing at your house, seems like you’d know it.
