Grand Rapids Taco Truck Opening Up New Restaurant

A food truck you've likely seen around Grand Rapids is branching out with a new brick and mortar location.

The Robelin family started Let'z Taco Bout It food truck approximately four years ago.

Raquel Robelin tells Wood TV 8 that she and her son had initially planned to open a restaurant, but when that didn't work out, they opened the food truck instead.

She says,

We’ve been doing pretty good ever since then. Finally the opportunity came to get a brick-and-mortar. Right in my local community as well, so it’s just so convenient. It’s a blessing to us.

The new Let'z Taco Bout it restaurant is located at 1269 Madison Ave.

According to Wood TV 8, the menu will the same as the food truck, which serves beef and chicken tacos in fried flour or corn tortillas. These are sometimes referred to as "Saginaw Tacos" which is where Robelin is originally from, though she has lived in the neighborhood where she's opening the new restaurant for 25 years.

You'll also find Mexican rice, refried beans, and Mexican corn. The restaurant will have additional offerings too, like enchiladas, tostados, and menudo soup.

Let'z Taco Bout it's grand opening is this Saturday, October 19, 1p.m. to 7p.m. There will be a raffle for customers who visit the new restaurant.
