Elijah Wood Left The Shire To Dine At This Detroit Restaurant
One does not simply walk into Mordor, but it would appear one is more than able to walk into the Dime Store, an all-day brunch restaurant in Detroit, and they had a very special guest show up at their restaurant yesterday.
Elijah Wood, known primarily for his role as Frodo Baggins in the "Lord of the Rings" franchise but has recently starred in Showtime's "Yellowjackets", is spending some time in Detroit and stopped at the Dime Store for breakfast. He was kind enough to take photos with the staff, and the staff had nothing but good things to say about him:
OMG OMG OMG. We were in full geek out mody today...when Actor & producer Elijah Wood...brought out smiles and excitement from staff and guests alike. He's a super nice guy and even took some time to take pictures with our staff.
The comments had some guests sharing the photos they took with him, as well as people asking about whether he had potatoes, and if he ordered a second breakfast. Two solid references to the films.

Dime Store has two locations in Michigan, the one in Detroit Elijah visited, and one in Rochester Hills. Their scratch-made breakfast, lunch, and brunch food have won multiple "Best of Detroit" awards.
Why Elijah is currently in Michigan is unknown, but it seems he's been doing a bit of traveling lately. He was recently spotted in Rhode Island for a jazz festival.
