Google announced Monday that it’s expanding its offices in Detroit and Ann Arbor and will add some new jobs.

According to Detroit Free Press, Google plans to spend $17 million on the expansion which will also bring in new sales and tech support jobs.  Google currently employs around 600 people here in Michigan, with its main Michigan office in Ann Arbor and the office space in Detroit right next to Little Caesars Arena.

The plan is to lease more space where they are in Detroit and lease another building near their Ann Arbor location, reports Detroit Free Press.

The company didn’t release specifics on how many new jobs the expansion would bring to Michigan but told Free Press it would be “significant”.

Google is making similar expansions in 13 other states around the country.
