I think when many people look at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that is located in Cleveland, Ohio, many think the hall of fame is for rockers only when it's actually for all styles of music. The only requirement to be eligible for nomination is for an artist or band to have released commercial recordings for at least 25 years before nomination. They may have been better served to call it the Music Hall of Fame but that is another topic to be discussed another day.

One thing won't be happening for sure and that is her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2022 since she has now bowed out from the nomination. Below is the statement Parton posted on Twitter:

According to FOX 17, Dolly Parton announced she did not want to be included in the nomination as to not "split votes."

Parton for some reason doesn't believe she has earned her right into the Hall of Fame but hopes to earn the right for a new nomination. Parton did mention in her Twitter post that she is inspired to put out a great rock album and that her husband is a huge fan of rock.
