Aurora, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, came to visit.

Andy Rent talked about Aurora with Emily from the Humane Society of West Michigan on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Rocco is a 3-year-old Terrier mix that was brought to us from Little Rock at the end of April. He has been known to get along with other dogs and is a very easy going pup (he even likes to sit in your lap)!

Emily recapped the Birthday Party last weekend. Their Birthday Party was a big success! Over 200 people participated and we're so happy with how it went. The event wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of our donors. Don't forget, HSWM is 100% donor funded and receives no help from local government. Donations allow us to maintain our standards for animal care and provide lifesaving services to our community.

With the 4th of July next week, Emily thought it a good idea to talk about Firework Safety. Remember:

- Keep pets indoors with proper identification tags/collars on

- provide a quiet, comfortable space for your pet during the noise

- play soft music or TV as a distraction from loud noises

- keep all fireworks out of reach of pets to prevent them from ingesting dangerous chemicals

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
