Zeeland Police are Warning People of a Texting Scam

Specifically, a "porn scam"...

The Zeeland Police Department posted on Facebook, on Monday, April 30th, that residents needed to watch out for a texting scam that is circulating the area.

A text is received advising that a girl named Niki who lives on your street is looking for relations.

Don't get too excited. Niki likely doesn't exist. In fact, she could be a creepy old man who's just trying to steal your money. Police say that this text is being sent out randomly to people in hopes someone will contact them and eventually send money for said services. Chances are, no matter what the outcome, this won't result in a happy ending.

People are advised to not respond and delete the text immediately. Based on some of the comments left on the post, it seems as if some people have already received the text.
