Not long ago I published a story on The River's website about those two dogs, one hit by a car on a busy street, and the other who loyally sat by its side until help could be summoned.  That one dog put his own life in danger to stay by the side and comfort its companion.

Here's another one of those stories...

This time, the story is about two pit bulls.  Not necessarily the sort of animal most people would associate with being sensitive and having feelings.  But it just goes to show you an animal is trained to be vicious, trained to fight to the death, trained to be aggressive.  The animal is always trained by some sick human.  I use the term human, very loosely here.

In this photo from Phoenix, Arizona,  it shows a male pit bull who refuses to leave the side of his companion, a female pit bull who had been hit by a car.  He sat at least 14 hours with her, loyal to the end.   Here's the rest of the story...
