The family of former Grand Rapids Drive player Zeke Upshaw plan to file a wrongful death lawsuit, according to WZZM-13.

Upshaw collapsed in the final minute of the Drive's final regular season game on March 24. He was then transported to the hospital where he died two days later.

The lawsuit is expected to be announced at a press conference in New York sometime on Wednesday. WZZM reports that Upshaw's family claims that there were no life saving measures taken after he collapsed. They claim that no one attempted CPR, nor did they use a portable defibrillator.

The suit is expected to be filed against the NBA, The Detroit Pistons (the Drive's parent team), the SSJ Group (which owns the Drive), and the DeltaPlex Arena.
