Would You Rather Host Christmas Or Be The Guest?

A couple days ago that new talk show "The Talk" asked an interesting question.  Would you rather be the hostess or be the guest?  Talking to some of my friends most of them are telling me they would rather be the "guest" that way they don't have to do the work or the clean up.  I, on the other hand, would rather be the "hostess" all of the time!  I think it might be because I'm not much for small talk and if it's at my house I can stay busy cooking and serving.  How about you!  Which would you prefer to be, the hostess or the guest and why?
