Last week, the United States Postal Service announced they will stop delivering mail on Saturdays.

Will you miss Saturday delivery?

The official announcement came on February 6.  The USPS said:

The United States Postal Service announced plans today to transition to a new delivery schedule during the week of Aug. 5, 2013 that includes package delivery Monday through Saturday, and mail delivery Monday through Friday. The Postal Service expects to generate cost savings of approximately $2 billion annually, once the plan is fully implemented.

Most won't find the change to be too drastic, although procrastinators will now have one more hurdle to jump to ensure their mail gets out on time.

I won't miss Saturday delivery...except for Netflix.  The movies that used to occasionally arrive on Saturday, perfectly timed for weekend viewing, will now arrive on Monday.

Netflix stands to benefit from the announcement via lower shipping costs.  Investors think so.  Netflix's stock hit a 16-month high and rose 6% on the news of the changes at USPS.

Some will benefit.  Some won't.  Will the change effect you?
