The 2016 Oscars nominations are in! As always, The Academy provided some surprises — and a few majorly offensive snubs — with their selections. (#JusticeForCarol).

Of course, one of the categories we're most interested in is the seemingly always unexpected Best Original Song category, which boasts a particularly pop star-heavy set this year. Let's review, shall we?

First, there's The Weeknd's slinky "Earned It" from everyone's favorite S&M-themed romance, Fifty Shades of Grey. From a mainstream standpoint, the song is easily the most visible of the bunch, having worked its way up to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually going Platinum (4X!) in sales. Sam Smith's Spectre theme, "The Writing's On The Wall," landed the British soul-pop singer a UK No. 1, although the song faired significantly less well stateside.

Perhaps the biggest superstar of the category is Golden Globe winner Lady Gaga with her "Til It Happens To You," the theme song for The Hunting Ground, which was also recently nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the upcoming 2016 Grammys.

But let's not count out the underdogs: Antony Hegarty (of Antony and the Johnsons) and J. Ralph's delicate "Manta Ray" from Racing Extinction, as well as David Lang's "Simple Song #3" for Youth, should not be counted out simply because of their pop star competitors.

So here's the question: Which song deserves the win? Take a listen to all of the songs below, and then place your vote. We'll reveal the winner right here on Thursday, January 21 at 5 PM ET.

"Til It Happens to You" from The Hunting Ground – Lady Gaga and Diane Warren

"Simple Song #3" from Youth – David Lang

"Earned It" from Fifty Shades of Grey – Ahmad Balshe, Jason Quenneville, Stephan Moccio and Abel Tesfaye
