Statistically speaking I have no hard numbers to confirm my theory but hear me out.

So my mom and I went to the Woodland Mall on Saturday to pick up a few things.  I needed some help with my CLEAR Wireless account.  So I'm standing there talking to Bill for about a half hour.  Every time I look up I see another pregnant woman walking by.  These women were 8 or 9 months pregnant.  No kidding, I must have seen 30 pregnant women in that small window of time.  So I say, "What's up with all the pregnant women?"  Bill says, "Yeah I noticed that too.  I was just talking to someone about that same thing.  Lots of very pregnant women I'm seeing in the mall."

So I start to do my calculations and got my light bulb moment!  Hmmm, what event happened 8 or 9 months ago that could have caused a mass pregnancy in GR????   BLIZZARD PALOOZA, that's what happened 8 or 9 months ago!   Remember, people were snowed in, couldn't go to work, and must have decided to get busy and do the wild thing.  That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

It will be interesting to see if birth rates as a whole did indeed rise this year for Grand Rapids.
