What Is Your Favorite Thing About Grand Rapids / West MI

What is so great about living here? Plenty. We've been saying it for a long time, Grand Rapids / West Michigan is a great place to live. While Newsweek Magazine was less than flattering in a recent story, our Hometown has scored big points in new national poll of best places. We have a safe place, clean place with lots of things to do. I remember when I first moved to Grand Rapids in 1984, several people told me how "conservative" is is around here and how I would be bored. They couldn't have been more wrong. Love living here. Everything and anything I want to do is right here, or within a short drive. What is your favorite thing about west Michigan?
