One of the true hot buttons in American politics today is immigration reform with strong feeling on both sides of the issue. However, one of the sides we haven't heard much from are immigrants themselves, especially undocumented immigrants. What is their life like?This week, Thursday, April 9,the Departments of Philosophy and Political Science at GVSU,  frequent collaborators with the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies at Grand Valley, are co-sponsoring a panel discussion and lecture about undocumented immigration. Their featured speaker, José Ángel N., an undocumented immigrant who has authored the memoir, Illegal: Reflections of an Undocumented Immigrant.

The panel discussion, featuring José Ángel N. and professors from GVSU’s Departments of Liberal Studies, Modern Languages and Literature, and Political Science, will take place this Thursday, April 9th, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM in the University Club, Devos 107C, Pew Campus, downtown Grand Rapids. The panel will end with a Q/A session, during which the co-sponsors hope for diverse perspectives to be represented.
