It was another “Wet Nose Wednesday” at 100.5 The River! Brooke from the Humane Society of West Michigan stopped by on December 14th, and brought along “Stuart”.

“Stuart” is a great dog. He is a 2-3 year old American Staffordshire mix who transferred to the Humane Society of West Michigan from the Flint area. “Stuart” would do best as the only dog in the home and in a home with older children. He is a bundle of energy.

Every week I bring a few dog treats in to the radio station to give the dogs who visit on “Wet Nose Wednesday”. Usually it takes them awhile to realize that the treats are in my coat pocket...not for “Stuart” he walked in the door and went immediately to my pocket. It was almost like someone told him that I would have treats for him! He must have a great sniffer for a nose!!

The Humane Society of West Michigan also has many wonderful cats that are looking for their forever home. 85 cats are at the Humane Society. They have waived the fee on cats 5 months or older.

If you are looking to make a end of year donation, the Humane Society of West Michigan is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Your donation stays and helps out animals here in West Michigan.

Coming up on Saturday, December 17th the Humane Society of West Michigan will have adoptable dogs at Woodland Mall from 11 am -2 pm. They will by located by the mall’s Christmas Tree.
