It's another Wet Nose Wednesday on The River.  Since Andy Rent is on vacation this week, I got the fun of meeting a little furry friend up for adoption through the Humane Society Of West Michigan.

Jen from the Humane Society brought in Elle!  Elle is a 5 year old Spaniel mix. She's a sweet and very curious little girl who spent a lot of time sniffing around and cruising for treats and/or love.  Jen says Elle would probably do best in home with teenagers or older kids ... or would be a really good pet for a first-time owner.

If you're interested in adopting Elle or any of the other awesome pets from the Humane Society of West Michigan, you can check their website, or just call 616-453-8900 for info on programs and pet adoption.  (Open Tuesday-Friday from 2p-7p and Saturday 10:30a-4p.)

This Sunday at 3pm, there is an exciting event and fundraiser called "POMA For Pets" (Professional Orchestra Musicians Association) at Wealthy Street Theater.  POMA members will be playing animal-related music on stage ... and with their pets!

For some reason, I think a bassett hound playing a trombone would be hilarious.

Tickets are only $25, and kids 10 and under are free!  Bring donations for The Kibble Konnection and you'll receive a free pop and popcorn from the concession stand!
