Western Michigan Football Is Nationally Ranked For The First Time In The School’s History
After Saturday's victory against the Central Michigan Chippewas, the Western Michigan Broncos are nationally ranked for the first time in the school's history. The Broncos barely broke the Associated Press top 25 ballot, securing the #25 position.
The Broncos trounced the Chippewas 49-10 in the Saturday night game. Western has already beaten two Big Ten teams (Northwestern and Illinois) and are currently undefeated with a record of 5-0.
The Broncos have never been nationally ranked in the program's 110-year history despite having participated in 7 bowl games, winning one. With the bulk of WMU's most difficult contests behind them, the Broncos could have a good chance of completing their season undefeated. How high can they climb? Only time can tell!
Let's Go Broncos!
