Western Little League All Stars Head To Senior League World Series

The Western Grand Rapids Little League All Stars won the Central Regional in Illinois Thursday, now they head off to Bangor, Maine to play for the World Championship.

The Western LL Seniors defeated Indiana 8-1 Thursday night in Oglesby, IL to clinch the championship, which means they will wear the Central jerseys in the World Series starting this weekend.

The newly crowned champions will begin play Sunday at 2:30pm against the Latin American representative from Curacao. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU, and streamed online at ESPN3.

Other teams in their pool will be from the Southwest, East and Europe.

The Senior League classification is for boys 13-16 years old.
