The West Michigan Youth Ballet is presenting the endearing ballet, Coppelia, at Grand Rapids Christian High's DeVos Center for Arts and Worship this Saturday, March 26, with performance times at 1 and 4:30 p.m.

The West Michigan Youth Ballet is composed of 60 young dancers ages 8 through 18 from across West Michigan. The West Michigan Youth Ballet is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 by local ballet professionals and dedicated parents.  Since 2007, they have provided unique and potentially life-changing experiences for hundreds of young dancers.

Coppelia follows the escapades of Franz and how he comically falls in love with the doll, Coppelia! You'll see the mysterious toy shop of the eccentric Dr. Coppelius, and so much more.

All children are encouraged to bring their favorite doll or superhero to the ballet, as well.

Something else fun with the troupe, is the Doll Tea Party that begins at 11:30 a.m. with a light lunch, activities and photos with the characters.

You can buy tickets on line at wmby.org for the Tea Party and each performance, and at the theater one hour before performance.
