School safety is on everyone's mind following the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut.

That includes West Michigan parents and school administrators.

How to prevent, prepare for, and react to tragedy is being discussed by West Michigan school districts.  Michigan law requires a minimum of two lockdown drills each school year.  Some schools are considering adding more.
