If you didn't get your prize rooster up to the cock fights in Oceana County near Hart this weekend, it's too late. The police done busted it up.

Saturday's raid on an alleged cockfighting ring near Hart netted in the arrest of 15 people, with many more at large. Police said that more than 30 people were in attendance when the police busted in, but many fled into the nearby woods.

A tracking dog located six of them and police say the 15 arrested will be charged with felony animal fighting, cruelty to animals and running an illegal gambling operation.

Sadly, the end results of cockfighting is the death of roosters, and the bodies of 10 roosters were found in the pit at the location. It's unclear how long the fighting ring was in operation. Several vehicles were also impounded as a result of the Michigan State Police led raid.
