Water Main Break Causes Sinkhole, Shuts Down Fulton Street Downtown Grand Rapids

Drivers are asked to avoid Fulton St. at Mt. Vernon Ave. downtown Grand Rapids.

Crews are working to repair a large sinkhole near Grand Valley University's downtown campus, WZZM-13 reports. 

According to the City of Grand Rapids, a water main break caused the sinkhole. Water service to part of GVSU's Secchia has been affected.

Fulton Street is closed between Winter and Mt. Vernon.
