Counting down to the new year has never been more convenient or inaccurate.

Netflix is offering an on-demand New Year's countdown for kids so you can get them to bed early on New Year's Eve.

According to Wakefield Research, more than a third of U.S. parents admit to counting down early to fool their kids into thinking it's midnight. They say their kid's or their own bedtime is the reason.

Netflix has a solution.

King Julien, of "All Hail King Julien" on Netflix, will host his very own kids' countdown on Netflix. It's ALREADY available to watch. The new show launched Dec. 19, and five episodes are available.

The three-minute animated video features over two minutes of music, singing, dancing and partying before getting to the ten-second countdown at the end.

If you're worried about missing out on some of the bigger name artists performing on the major networks during their live countdown shows, don't be. I've watched the fake countdown and King Julien's lip syncing is just as good as the lip syncing that they do on the major networks.

Show it to your kids when ever you want, King Julien has nothing to hide in the video saying, "Is it almost midnight yet? Who cares! It's midnight somewhere!"
