On June 22, an EF-1 tornado struck Portland, Michigan, damaging dozens of homes and businesses.

Watch as the tornado strikes and a tree is ripped from its roots in a video shot across the street from Portland City Hall at Grider-Portland Agency.

The video begins at 2:33 p.m. EST on June 22, 2015.

About 20 seconds into the video the wind begins to pick up. 30 seconds after that, visibility begins to diminish. 30 seconds later, the tornado is tearing a tree from it's roots.

The photos show a tree disappearing over a span of about two seconds.
