The Grand Rapids Public Museum and Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association have brought back observing nights at the Veen Observatory in Lowell Township.

Observing nights are open to the public every second and last Saturday evening of the month and runs through October 2015.

Jupiter and Venus will be featured throughout the spring, and Saturn, a favorite with visitors, will be placed for viewing by early summer. Viewing is weather permitting. See observation times, updates and status reports.

Admission to the Veen Observatory’s public observing nights is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for 17 and under, and is free to Grand Rapids Public Museum members.
