Four people were, thankfully, not seriously injured after their minivan rear-ended a semi truck and was dragged 16 miles in Northern Michigan Wednesday morning. The crash occurred around 2 a.m. Wednesday on northbound I-75.

Matthew Metz, his wife Pamela and their 2 adult children were in the minivan. When the family discovered that their lights and horn didn't work, Pamela called 9-1-1 for help.

"We are traveling on I-75 in a snow blind," she told the dispatcher. "We ran into the back of a semi truck. He is not stopping. Our car is embedded underneath it."

Roscommon Undersheriff Ed Stern told WZZM-13 that the van struck the semi south of the Roscommon exit and its front-end became wedged under the back of the truck. Deputies pulled over the semi near the Grayling exit.
