UPDATE: SB 131 ReOpened (Earlier Wreck Closed 131SB at Post Drive)

Earlier today we told you about southbound 131 being closed at Post Drive because of a wreck. SB131 is re-opened now, but here's the back story. It's sad story, actually.

From what I can piece together, at least one person is dead and two injured. It was a chain-reaction resulting from a deer running across 131. A vehicle was headed south on 131 around 9:30 this morning. When she saw a deer in her lane of traffic, she braked. A second vehicle also attempted to brake but rear-ended the first vehicle, sending her into the ditch. The driver of the first vehicle lost her life at the scene and two passengers in the second car were transported to a hospital.

The deer ran into the other lanes and was killed by a car traveling north on 131.
