This is Tyree, a 3 and 1/2-year old Black-Lab mix!

Trudy Ender, executive director of the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Tyree into the studios. Tyree was surrendered by his owners in North Carolina, and rather than have him put down, he was brought to Grand Rapids through the Pet Smart Charities connection with the Humane Society of Kent County. Tyree is being evaluated both physically and emotionally so that his next home will be the right one. He hopes to be ready for adoption very soon.

You can get all the information on Tyree and adopting, by visiting the society's website or call (616) 453-8900.

Trudy mentioned the "Ice-T" Event at Rose's on Reed's Lake this coming Saturday, in support of the Humane Society of West Michigan. Come out and play golf on Reeds Lake and support the Humane Society.

Wet Nose Wednesday on 100.5 The River is sponsored by Chow Hound Pet Supplies.
