Some extremely lucky person in South Carolina hit the largest jackpot in Mega Millions history on Tuesday night winning the $1.6 billion!!!

Now while no one in Michigan came close to a billion the lottery did generate some richer people, who I'm sure to have no complaints. According to the Michigan Lottery website, the tickets were sold at

  • Brick's in Grandville and
  • Ric's Food Center in Mount Pleasant

WNEM-TV reports that the winner in Mount Pleasant was actually a group of 10 co-workers who pooled their money together and bought 50 tickets. At $100K each...not bad.

I've also decided that I need to start buying lotto tickets at Brick's because just a couple weeks ago an Ottawa County woman won $2 million from a ticket she bought there.

While no one else hit a million dollars in the state, there were still plenty of winners including $10K and $500. Check your numbers if you haven't already. The winning jackpot numbers are below.

5-28-62-65-70; Mega Ball: 5

And if you're still poor like me, tonight's Powerball drawing is at $620 million!
