Golfers in Michigan begin heading outdoors as soon as the snow is gone. Sometimes even sooner. Soon all of Michigan's golf courses will be open and enjoying great weather. This year, that includes two new golf courses in Michigan!

Sage Run at Island Resort & Casino

Sage Run is an 18-hole golf course set to open soon at Island Resort & Casino in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in Harris.

Sage Run was designed by Paul Albanese.

Island Resort & Casino says the course features a large drumlin, which is a long, sloping ridge that runs through the entire course in different directions. The course also includes pine scrub areas, open areas and a partially wooded area. It is said to be appropriate for all skill levels.

South Course at Arcadia Bluffs

Arcadia Bluffs is set to open their new South Course this summer on August 1, in Arcadia, Mich.

The South Course was designed by Dana Fry.

Arcadia Bluffs says the course is meant to focus on strategy and angles. It uses a simple design along the lines of the courses from the early days of golf in America. The course sits on 311 acres, 1.5 miles south of Arcadia Bluffs. It features sandy soils which will create firm and fast conditions.
